FTC Employees Donate Leave to Help Colleagues During the COVID-19 Crisis

Now more than ever, with the COVID-19 crisis impacting so many, the FTC Family is going above and beyond to support each other through this difficult time.
With employees located in multiple corporate locations, at customer sites, and working remotely in more than 34 states and two locations outside of the continental US, the entire FTC Family has been impacted by social distancing and stay-at-home mandates from the Coronavirus pandemic. While FTC has been in the fortunate position to able to transition most employees to working from home since early March — maintaining regular work schedules that have allowed mission-critical progress on a wide range of Federal government contracts to continue uninterrupted — a number of employees working in secure federal government locations have been unable to telework due to security restrictions, job requirements, and the nature of their work. This has left some FTC employees in the challenging position of exhausting paid leave during this difficult quarantine period.
In an effort to stem economic hardship for fellow employees impacted by this pandemic, the FTC executive team established a Leave Donation Fund to allow FTC employees to donate vacation time to assist colleagues who have been impacted by the current crisis.

This incredibly difficult time has impacted us all so deeply and in so many ways, but a few of our team are being especially hard hit by stay-at-home mandates,” says FTC CEO and President Vaseal Montgomery. “Through this Leave Donation Fund, our FTC Family can help each other get through a difficult time.”
“The last few weeks have certainly been a challenging time, as people around the world have had to adjust to a new reality of social distancing and a virus that is changing our very daily lives,” adds FTC Chief Operating Officer, Benjamin Lin. “This dynamic and challenging situation has impacted us all and changed how we work, but I think it has also demonstrated the importance of taking care of each other. Now more than ever, we all depend on each other for support and connection. As a Family, we will get through this together.”
